Project Alamo: Chapter 2 Summary

Okay, time to get rolling.
Anyway, Melody has a very odd journey down the tunnel, ending with a mysterious creature saying that it'll be seeing Melody... and acting like it knew her!
Mel pops out of the tunnel, right over the desert! She finds out she has superpowers when she starts flying, saving her from a death from falling! But the Portal is gone, and no humans in sight! But we get our first real peek of this being a fantasy book... by a giant moon! It's nighttime, and Melody notices the moon, which is about over half of the planet's size!
One thing I love about writing fantasy: you can break science rules! (lol!)
Anyway, after recovering from the shock, Melody goes flying in search of humanity. She spots a building that's a combination between a baseball stadium and a rock concert. A concert is playing at the place at that moment.
Melody goes in, and soon learns about the money system, and a little bit about that country's young ruler, Prince Reagan. But nothing much, just that he was now the Ruler, and the rules to become a King there. Plus, he's a young teen.
Melody gets a ticket, and enters the place. But she ends up in the wrong place, backstage! Just in time too, the band gets stuck singing a familiar Earth song with girl vocals! Melody's a very good singer, and she ends up helping the band. She also gets a fairy named Radella.
The band, called the Searching Stars, invite Melody to join the band. Even their manager agrees, and Melody joins them for dinner around a campfire.
There she learns that the band is searching for a creature called the Alamo. It is supposed to have great knowledge and power, and it travels the dimensions. Their dimension, called Mucana, is supposed to be its birthplace, so it is where it comes to rest, and process the data it got from other dimensions. The band is mainly searching for info. The manager warns Melody of the dangers of the search, telling her how his best friend disappeared.
But guess what?
That same friend was Melody's own father!
That is where Chapter 2 leaves off. And, yes, I'm calling this the "Alamo Project" or "Project Alamo" for the time being. I have more chapters, but I have to introduce the band members to you, so I'm doing that in another post.

  1. SO, the first hint of fantasy was not when she started flying, but when she was flying she saw the big moon? Interesting.
